PHILIPPINE ACROBATIC SHOW @ DMMMSU-MLUC

Philippine Acrobatic Troupe is a team of Filipino acrobats touring around the Philippine islands. We perform in various events such as fiestas, school foundation anniversaries, opening highlights for a sports feasts, family day, and other events of various organizations including entertainment portion for a political campaign. Because of our wholesome and educational show, we usually able to book series of shows mostly in schools having their fund raising projects or purposely just for their foundation anniversary highlight. With our more or less two hour wholesome show, we set ourselves as examples to the young people who were able to witness the event being part of the community that must abstain from various vices such as drug abuse. Our show is packed with exciting acrobatic and gymnastic acts full of physical prowess and thrilling balancing stunts that enthrall audiences.

It was organized in the year 1988 by its leader/trainer Fernando L. Almocera, Jr. in Don Carlos, Bukidnon, Mindanao, Philippines. After two months of not less than 5 hours a day training, the team had series of shows in nearby towns surrounding the area (training town).

Within a year they were able to saturate almost all parts of Mindanao including those far-flung places within it such as Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-tawi. With this Mindanao tour, the team were able to reach those places with people seldom can see a live wholesome performance of young acrobatic entertainers.

After a year of continuous tour within Mindanao, the team feel the need to venture to other islands of the Philippines namely: Visayas and Luzon. Within a few months the team were able to visit and perform almost all towns of Bohol Island, part of Cebu island, and Negros Occidental and Oriental thereby planning again for the next big move: To conquer LUZON.

Year 1990, the team started series of performances in the mainland of Luzon. Due to the trainer’s place of origin-Mindanao and almost all of the team members’ place of origin-Mindanao too, the whole team, with regards to booking of their shows, has to “hands-on learn” the ins and outs of Luzon not minding the language or dialect fluency barrier that has to be encountered. They rented a house that would serve as their base/residence and at the same time serve as office for booking of shows too.

Today, you will see them in their performances with new and young batch of performers. Their training while being with the actual live performances together with some of the old performers was an advantage for them.

On the year 2004, two of the performers won 3 gold medals and 4 bronze medals during the International Unicycle Riding Competition held at Tokyo, Japan.

On the local talent competition, some of them won in the top rated shows like “Talentadong Pinoy” by ABC-5, GMA7′s “Eat Bulaga-Kakaibang Bida portion” and “Bitoy’s Showtime”, and some of them in “Pinoy Extreme”.
